Some Where to Live

I have somewhere to live next year!!

I'm going to be moving in with my friends Amanda Waters and Kindra Leih in a house .75 miles from Biola! I am rooming with Cami Cress and living with 2 other girls as well, so 6 total in the house.

Kindra and Me

 Amanda and Me

Enough said ;-)

So, I am very relieved to have housing things settled. If you think about, pray that all the details continue to work out :)

Miss you all!

I'm out & I'm in!

Ok, to let you all know...

I MADE IT OUT OF HORTON!!
i know you were all so very worried.

Anywho, I made my last load from Horton at about 8pm on Tuesday night and am now just working on getting all settled in my house!
There have definitely been quite a few speed bumps along the way..

I didn't know whether or not I had a bed, but there was a mattress in the hallway that I was able to snag and sleep on for the night...

Our gas is shut off until tomorrow, so no hot water or stove and me and Erik snuck into Stewart to cook dinner at 10pm last night and I took a shower in Katie Powell's apartment today...

Today, the water in our house got shut off because of a mix up with the change of owners so I have to pee in the backyard (seriously)...

And my house key doesn't work!
(also, I still haven't done my End of the Year Report.. oops!)

But I did get a permanent bed, one with drawers underneath too! And the house is really cute and cozy, so I'm excited to see what it will hold for the summer!

love and miss ya'll!

T'was the weekend of check-out

T'was the weekend of check-out and all through the dorm
our residents were packing and leaving quite a storm
Trash was placed in the lounges without care
in hopes that someone else would take it from there

The RAs were nestled all snug in a chair
hearing reports of walls damaged beyond repair
Katie in her apartment and Pat in his too
had just settled down to delegate the clean-up crew

When up on fifth floor there arose such a clatter
but we were so sneaky, no one knew what was the matter
Back in our cupboards we discovered a treat
Party balloons that were in need of a feat

We filled them with water until they would burst
We threw a few trials to find our range first
When, what to our cunning eyes did appear
But Tyler White, walking alone and quite near

We got out our keys and unlocked a few doors
We tried to hit him, but our aim was quite poor
While we were re-scheming we found a new mark
Then our plans for an ambush grew kind of dark

First Chris, then CJ, next Erin and K-Stes, too
Oh Anthony and Tyler then Steph, Aryn, who knew?
To the Northside of Horton, right over the front door
we waited and waited, neglecting our floor

Then out came Chris, with the wheel barrel in tow
We dropped several water balloons on him below
He danced around, trying hard not to get wet,
then we saw CJ and we had him in our net

Anthony and Aryn were packing their car
Lucky for us, they didn't park too far
At Aryn's feet, a balloon did pop
We high fived, and celebrated up top

Our goal was achieved and fun sure was had
We hope that the staff was not too terribly mad
Unfortunately, it is time to be done,
But what a good ending to a year full of fun!

Keyless=Powerless??

While some of you may still be at school, we must all now come to terms with the fact that we are no longer RAs. How weird is that? It's hard to wrap your mind around, I know. You may even want to practice saying it to yourself a few times to help it sink it. Take a deep breath, then let it out. Repeat quietly (so as not to shock yourself too badly), "I am no longer an RA." Soak up the freedom and sadness that come with the utterance of that sentence. Then remember there are still ten other people out there who know what you're experiencing, love you dearly, and will be there for you when you need it. And be excited that we have a blog so we don't have to miss the RA folder too much!!! :-)

I think we win 1st prize for the most eventful Check-Out shift...

Did any of you have a resident come in with a large bloody gash on their hand while you were on Check-Out Duty?

Didn't think so.

Don't worry. We came to the rescue with our handy-dandy large blue first aid kit. Ignore the blood stains on our black leather couch...(just kidding...it was a close save)

This Magic Moment...

Does not describe my studying experience today...

But it is my new Pandora station :)

Here is a snap shot of the day...

MISSING

One whole Lasagna

Last Seen: in the freezer of the downstairs Horton kitchen, Thursday afternoon

If criminals caught: send them to Arise for some serious interrogation by Erin Watts and some physical violence from Katie Steslicki

A train somewhere...

So my sister is getting her wisdom teeth out this week. That thought took me on an adventure...

Wisdom teeth...
Puffy cheeks...
Squirrels...
Chipmunks...
Chip and Dale...
Rescue Rangers...

Ch-ch-ch-ch-chip n' dale!

Anyone up for a study break???

P.S. been in the library for a while...I think the books are taunting me

response to KT

I know I was supposed to laugh, but instead that picture made me think. Then I went onto wikipedia, and now I know about bloods.

A caffienated fiend...

It's almost 3 am, I been rappin' since 8
My projects almost done, but it ain't all that great.
I'm missin' a few lines, some typographic errors,
and if I nod off, I might suffer from night terrors!
The lobby is hoppin' with some major DTR-in,
but I'm chillin like a villian just makin' observation.

I prolly won't sleep but my eyes are gettin' heavy
A trip to Starbucks should really get me ready.
Can't wait to see the dawn, I'll be on the Horton lawn.
So join me if you dare, but if I see you there,
I'll smack you in the face because if I were in your place,
I'd rather be cozy in my bed than be caught dead
Seein' the sun progress with me, Katie Stes.
