T'was the weekend of check-out

T'was the weekend of check-out and all through the dorm
our residents were packing and leaving quite a storm
Trash was placed in the lounges without care
in hopes that someone else would take it from there

The RAs were nestled all snug in a chair
hearing reports of walls damaged beyond repair
Katie in her apartment and Pat in his too
had just settled down to delegate the clean-up crew

When up on fifth floor there arose such a clatter
but we were so sneaky, no one knew what was the matter
Back in our cupboards we discovered a treat
Party balloons that were in need of a feat

We filled them with water until they would burst
We threw a few trials to find our range first
When, what to our cunning eyes did appear
But Tyler White, walking alone and quite near

We got out our keys and unlocked a few doors
We tried to hit him, but our aim was quite poor
While we were re-scheming we found a new mark
Then our plans for an ambush grew kind of dark

First Chris, then CJ, next Erin and K-Stes, too
Oh Anthony and Tyler then Steph, Aryn, who knew?
To the Northside of Horton, right over the front door
we waited and waited, neglecting our floor

Then out came Chris, with the wheel barrel in tow
We dropped several water balloons on him below
He danced around, trying hard not to get wet,
then we saw CJ and we had him in our net

Anthony and Aryn were packing their car
Lucky for us, they didn't park too far
At Aryn's feet, a balloon did pop
We high fived, and celebrated up top

Our goal was achieved and fun sure was had
We hope that the staff was not too terribly mad
Unfortunately, it is time to be done,
But what a good ending to a year full of fun!

  3. Me too me too!!! That was INCREDIBLE. You totally captured our entire venture...which was, in and of itself amazing, but you articulated it even better. I love it!
