1. There has only been 1 day in which the sun has appeared before 4 or 5pm... It has been cool and cloudy EVERY SINGLE DAY! What is this Washington? Oregon? bull hucky!
2. I typically associate summer with going home and since my "home" is not technically home, my mind is tricked into thinking it's not permanent for the next 2+ months.
3. I'm not overwhelmed by hours upon hours of working! I typically only get scheduled for about 10-12 hours/week but I've been snatching people's hours left and right! I convince them that they don't really want to work... so I went from 10 hours up to 27.5 for this week! Skilled, I know...

And that's basically where I'm at. Now I really don't want to let all this precious time go to wasted, I want to squeeze all the juice out of it! Any ideas of what I should do??
Also, a side note I'd like to share, I had the first conversation with my dad since Easter today! I know, pretty crazy.. But it went so well and he told me that he checks my blog (my personal one) about once a week and wishes I would post more on it! That was fun for me to hear..
ok, goodnight!
Wow, Katie, that's really cool about your dad. I'm excited for you that he's reading your blog, too...he's thinking about you :-). I know what you mean about summer!! I had a dream the other night that I moved back to school early and then realized it was only June and what the heck was I doing missing out on summer?! I think I'm confused about it too....it's like we're in an alternate universe. Hopefully we'll be able to figure things out soon. I'm trying to make a list of all the things I want to do some point...like read Chasing Daylight/Seizing a Divine Moment by Erwin McManus (you should, too!!!), work on Greek (keep up on any school-related stuff that you don't wanna do but should), learning to knit (or something else crafty that you don't already do...or even making stuff for our room or other things that are coming up in the far future you can get a head start on), and joining a small group, just for the summer (getting involved and staying connected to God through people and his Word!). Also, take advantage of where you live...go to museums or plan mini random trips we can do next year ;-)! I've been using my input theme to collect ideas for things I want to do/see in So Cal before I no longer live there/have the option. Good luck!! :-)
ReplyDelete***correction...Seizing Your Divine Moment.
ReplyDeletehahaha... wow!! that's definitely a LOT of stuff I could do! Thanks for all of the INPUT =]
ReplyDeleteI have a sweet movie for you to watch.. It's called the "Go Getter" an indy film, pretty random but beautiful! It has some awkward scenes but the rest is amazing! I own it so we can watch it when we get back!
wow-those are good ideas - and i was just saying i want to learn how to knit this summer! i don't know how to crochet or knit or anything - but my 3 little sisters all can, they can like whip out scarves and stuff while watching a movie - and i just sit there looking very unskilled.
ReplyDeletein other news - i think the LA weather got trapped up here - we've had beautiful 80 degree, sunny days, its been amazing!
Hey- Pacific North West:
